  PokerStars offers $4,500 a Week in NAPL Freerolls

  PokerStars is already offering free poker for both American and Canadian players - they host $500 Nightly Freerolls every day of the week. However, they are also giving North American players the chance to play for an extra $4,500 in the North American Poker League freerolls. This is great for poker beginners as they can try out poker for free in this great poker event.

  To compete for $4,500 in the NAPL freerolls, just visit the PokerStars lobby and look for the ‘Tourney’ tab. After you find the Tourney tab, select the ‘Regional’ tab to find the NAPL Nightly $500 Freeroll. The NAPL Nightly $500 Freeroll takes place every night at 20:00 ET, and the top 1,036 players will move on to compete in a Weekly NAPL poker tournament.

  Of course, the tournament you get to compete in all depends upon how you finish in a Nightly $500 Freeroll. As mentioned before, the top 1,036 players will get to play in an NAPL tournament regardless of their placing. But the higher the finish, the more cash you’ll play for. The following places will play in the following tournaments:

  • Places 1-9: NAPL $11 Division 1 Ticket
  • Places 10-300: NAPL $1.10 Division 2 Ticket
  • Places 301-1,036: NAPL $0.11 Rookie Ticket

  
  As you might have guessed, the higher your ticket price, the bigger the prize pool. Here is a quick look at the prize pool for each poker tournament:

  • NAPL Division 1: $11 ticket plays for a $2,000 prize pool
  • NAPL Division 2: $1.10 ticket plays for a $1,000 prize pool
  • NAPL Rookie Division – USA: $0.11 ticket plays for a $1,000 prize pool
  • NAPL Rookie Division – Canada: $0.11 ticket plays for a $500 prize pool

  
  Besides the weekly freeroll tournaments, cash prizes will also be given out through the NAPL leaderboard. Every nightly tourney awards players with points, and you’ll receive at least 1 point as long as you enter a Nightly $500 Freeroll. First place earns 100 points while the top 99 players all earn at least 10 points.

  At the end of every week, the top players on the leaderboard will earn cash. The top prize is $200 while lots of other cash rewards will be given out through the NAPL board.
